DEVELOPMENT Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator will support the project cycle on new and existing projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in real estate development with a focus on residential interior design.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, a creative thinker with strong drafting, construction detailing, and space planning abilities. This role supports Mission Group communities including mixed-use, multi-family residential, and commercial spaces.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for the coordination of all design drawings, including working with third-party vendors and consultants
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and facilitate information flow throughout the development cycle for multiple projects in various stages
  • Assist with furniture procurement, delivery, and installation working together with construction
  • Conduct site inspections, help chair project meetings and facilitate in the resolution of field issues between the design team and construction
  • Coordinate requirements for municipal approvals such as rezoning, development permits, OCP amendments, building permits, and outside agency approvals
  • Assist in assessing the potential of new properties, with a keen eye on design and creative approaches to development
  • Research and develop an understanding of best practices in residential interior design
  • Other responsibilities as required

 

What you’ll have:

  • Post-secondary education in Architecture, Interior design, Urban Land Economics, Engineering, or related education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup & CAD
  • Experience in office, retail, and/or mixed-use projects is considered an asset
  • Local market knowledge and passionate about real estate development, design, and construction
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, design, and creative thinking skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
