Mission Group is seeking a Foreman to join one of our high-rise construction projects in downtown Kelowna, BC. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Foreman will lead the site team through production, pre-pour quality control on concrete floors, execution of safety-related tasks, assist in daily reporting, and coordinate site needs for materials and tools. This role will primarily be focused on concrete construction, but tasks will vary through the course of construction.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the superintendent with organizing and coordinate the daily activities
  • Ensure plans and schedules are being followed
  • Monitor work performance and attendance of workers
  • Facilitate and promote a safe and inclusive team environment
  • Attend and participate in toolbox and safety committee meetings

 

What you’ll have:

  • Highschool diploma
  • 5+ years experience as a construction foreman/lead hand
  • Diploma in a skilled trade such as carpentry is a strong asset
  • Red/gold seal certification is considered an asset
  • Ability to oversee and delegate tasks
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Ability to schedule and multitask
  • Strong knowledge in building and construction
  • Multitasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Professionally work with and coordinate trades to complete tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Dedication to safety and safe work procedures
  • Able to work long hours and weekends when needed
  • Ability to lift and hold 40lbs
